It’s good to have an audience but it’s best to personify those things that attract attention before revealing to the curious your line of creativity. What better way to know your own material than becoming the maker of the mold not the material. With that being said it’s not easy to protect the cast from breaking if you don’t play it safe. You have to guard your own shtick in order for people to want to take it from you. If you are truly unique then you will find that people will respond by weaving through your ideas with their own concepts. That is how you become an institution, when people gain momentum from your creations and make it last by making it better. To be part of the oligarchy of art you must reincarnate something new. To be part of anything new you have to know something came before.
