Humor is dough for the soul that is transformed from the mind into an impression of our body as it rises with laughter. It is body english that lets the jester know he is on the right track to making a crowd laugh before he rolls with the punchline. Laughter is how the king responds when the jester has shown him the common similarities of all his subjects. In other words, comedians take the most personal topics and show us how much we have in common while giving perspective to our otherwise mundane lives. Comedians exploit the offbeat actions of people by giving cadence to the harmony they are lacking. Humor is what you get when you recognize the stupidity of the human collective and make it relatable to everyday occurrences. Comedy is the art of exposing our flaws making it awkward to agree and dishonest to disagree.
