Mind Wax

I have found that a broad spectrum of simple thoughts gets more attention if they are made tangible like a ball of wax.

There needs to be more mistakes in writing that allows the reader to manipulate a sentence by wondering if what they just read is right and if it’s written the same way others write making a story familiar. Is it too original to change? With this critical approach the reader may feel they are contributing to the progress of a novice writer with a different style of writing and who is beyond average, more like a square teacher unwantedly on acid trying to teach a class on plagiarism.

Sometimes we have to read things twice in order to know we didn’t understand it in the first place.

It helps our psyche to have our own image of where a story is headed but do we want to choose our own adventure? Like a ball of wax in the palms of two hands it will never come out as perfectly round as we would have liked. Take the same ball of wax manipulated into whatever shape with our hands and compare it to the manipulation from a flame. Do you still have the same whole ball of wax? The flame is to wax as editing is to the story. They both change the shape of the original construct and neither are indefinite unless under our thumb.
