One Good Ring

So what do you say to a young man who kicks his first bell with perfect precision, besides warning him it can only be rung once? Absolutely nothing. Unless you have kicked the bell yourself, will you measure him against your own reputation.

Does a young man know the bell to be a symbol of prowess in the pecking order of the fiercest animal? Should they use their feet or head to ring it? Using the foot equals strength and longevity while using the head represents density and innocence, the difference between endurance and extinction.

The man who has no ringing in their head boots the bell for a chance to come of age with that one ring. It’s not how loud the ring but the pause that shows the pose and how the bell was rung, not the noise but the poise that gives the young man acclaim for being in the right place at the right time.
