The Acropolis as a Metaphor

Climbing the hill to the Acropolis the philosophers think about the little engine that could before there was a story about a little engine that could. The philosophers know what is before them before the rest of us remember how these things go. But with a little help from philosophers that little steam engine will be so ingrained in our psyche we will know the story as it is being spoken to us for the first time. A metaphor for struggle. A reason to persevere. A reason for metaphors is so philosophers will persevere over the placement of the word “as”, as I have, instead of griping over the placement of the Acropolis.
