A Thorn Defends the Rose

Who decides where 

a word goes

In poetry 

when there is no 

matter

And who knows when  

to place it 

       here

to make the poem seem badder

when the words

sound about right

call a bigger rose

fatter 

Take the word rose

at the start

Sounds like clatter

Put it at the end

you made 

new chatter 

but when the word is 

not a word 

told like badder

the placement of the word

Just 

Doesn’t  

Matter
