Look at me as I slither. Slither down the aisle of the chamber. The chamber is aligned with soldiers. Soldiers, look at my face. My face does not move like my tail. My tail is all they can see. They see me in their dreams. A dream is not what I am. I am the leader of soldiers. Soldiers give a good god damn. Damn the soldiers for being good. Good soldiers become leaders. Leaders are good for us all. All of the leaders are smarter. Smarter than any of us look. Look at me as I slither. Slither down the aisle of the chamber. The chamber is aligned with leaders. Leaders, look at my face. My face is on the other side of tails. Tails is not what I see. See my head in a nightmare. A nightmare is what I am. I am a true leader. A leader of the damned. Damned are the leaders for good. Good leaders have soldiers. Soldiers are good for us all. All of the soldiers are gone. More gone as they look. Look at me as I slither. Slither down the aisle of the chamber. The chamber is aligned with soldiers. Soldiers, look at my face.

This blog is a multifaceted writing/journaling approach to recovery from mental illness and addiction. I am not a comedian but rather a rattled jewel of sarcasm encased in art. Health, humor, and love is what I seek under the umbrella of family. View all posts by Francis Erich McElroy
