What Is Stopping You From Reading?

I flip the front cover of a book over to land on page 955. I’m sure someone more versed than I has found the exact middle of the book, for it has a beginning and an end. If I were to use a page number to locate the center of this book, would the exact page be an odd or even number? If someone thinks oddly enough to decide to find the center of a story, they must also compulsively care or instinctively wonder if the page that lands smack dab in the middle is odd or even. They may be clever enough to take the last page and divide that number by two to come up with where the exact center will be. They may already know that if the last page is an even number, then the center page will be even as well, but that is not true with odd numbers. Divided by two, an odd number on the last page can be odd on the center page but also odd or even, halfway down the page. Odd is not exact or is more exact depending on how compulsive you happen to be. When the book is printed in a different format with a different size binder, the center of that particular book does not change, but where the center of the story lands and whether the page numbers split at odd or even does change from other publishings. The story may not change, but the idea to explore where the middle is, like in the Bible, makes the likelihood of being able to follow a story of that magnitude near impossible to comprehend. On the contrary, if you are able to follow this post entirely without going back to try to understand its meaning, you have found a good read. I assure you, there are no mistakes within this post that would make one have to read it again. It is a message that does not read like any novel that has been written for imagery and interpretation but is rather more informational with information you already know. This could be what it is like to be crazy, not being able to understand a well-thought-out piece of information that you already know while coming up with the excuse that the information must be false.
