I should just choose one thing and go for it. Just pick that one thing I love to do and find a way to do that the rest of my life and get paid for it.
I could find a way to sell one type of product out of all the products that are needed to do that one thing I love to do most. Take writing for one example. I could sell one style of pen. I could find a manufacturer that specializes in pens and have them make one with special features. It could be that one pen that never gets lost, is refillable, and adjusts line width with a twist of the top.
That pen may already exist but mine would have at least one other feature that would make it stand out. I wonder if one would go for a pen that costs fifty times the amount as the advertising plastic pen variety. I’d make this pen of such high quality that everyone would see why it’s number one.
But wouldn’t it be better for the number one pen company in the world to have more variety than only one pen? I could design another style of pen and make it more cost effective to manufacture, thus to purchase, with little investment. If it costs so much to make only one style of pen wouldn’t it be worth the investment to change one or a few variables of the assembly line to sell more of the others for less?
With the extra money from selling extra pens that are different from the first one I designed I could find another factory and branch out for once. I could supply the ink so no one can charge me more for the never ending stream of ink I will need. Also it may be a good thing to have quality journals to go with the pen that everyone seems to think is a great idea.
I for one love the idea but to be honest one for me is never enough. I would have to move on to two and three ideas because I am that one guy who doesn’t really know what he wants. I don’t go for just one thing. I do what is required of me to survive for this one day and one thing leads to another.
